is this the right basking light?

we got a light that says its UVA and UVB. and its great for basking reptiles. is this all we'll need for our two babies? its one of those $20 coil lights. i think its the right kind, so... tell me i got what we need

What brand is it.. and for that price are you sure its both?? It seems rather inexpensive for UVA/UVB..

I have 2 UVA/UBB bulbs in my 60 gallon tank...both fluorescents. The 12" one was $14.99 and the 24" one was $24.99. Sounds about right for pricing...

If it's an ESU coil light, Petsmart sells them for $19.99 (they can be bought more cheaply on-line, though). The light doesn't give off heat, so you still need to use a heat lamp. You can use a regular lightbulb; basking area should be 88-90F.

Yep thats the one I use plus I have a 40 watt light bulb for heat.

Same here, I use a ceramic heater for heating.

SKF, which ceramic heater are you using?
