Damn I've been reading about pyramiding and i am scared it can happen to my turtle.....

Pyramiding means that multiple section of the shell is peaking... not the whole shell right??

And i am wondering on the spine of the turtle is it suppose to be smooth with the rest of the shell..... is the shell suppose to be completely round?

hahaha thats were i started reading about it..... I just want to confirm my understanding about the subject

There are several threads, you could always use the search at the top to find exactly what you're looking for.

I searched it on the internet already as well as the website..... like i said before i just want to confirm my understanding of the subject........ You could of easily said yes or no to my first question and that would have been the end of this thread.....

I could, but I don't know.

Please don't take this the wrong way, as I've seen you help many people on this forum.

Your "help yourself" comments really do put a lot of people off. I know many people don't use the search function, and deservedly, they should be told to at least look for the answer, but when someone posts a genuine question, it may be better to just not reply than to direct them to the search button in every response.

I think once you've posted it, let it go, and maybe post something relevant to the question at hand?

Apparently, you took it wrong. Sorry.

What I meant to say was...I to have read that post and the accompanying link. I looked at the pics. Honestly, I still don't get a grasp on what it looks like on a RES. I think that's what Darkdream's original intention was...at least I hope he/she read everything first. So now that I've searched, and researched, I'm still not sure what pyramiding looks like on a RES.

Ok, I did some research and came up with some pictures from another forum of RES with what they determined was slight pyramiding. If you note the scutes are not smooth but slightly elevated.

Btw, it didn't take me that long to find these

Thanks Carol...so I think what I'm looking at is the scutes are raised, not the overall shape of the shell? That was what I was interested in seeing...

Which is just another example of what pyramiding looks like in an RES.

after reading that previous thread...I apologize. However, thanks for the info, I will keep an eye for that on my turts.
