Algae Fish, are they a good thing to have in a res tank?

Posted: Tue Oct 04, 2005 5:29 pmI have one that is about the size of my turtle and so far so good. They leave each other alone except for the pleco occasionally cleaning the turtles shell. But I know eventually Koopa might see him as lunch. 
Posted: Sun Dec 04, 2005 9:35 amPete has attacked and every kind of fish I have added (including my poor betta), however, he seems to leave the bottom feeders alone (guess he knows they clean up his poop!) Occasionally the pleco will even try to clean his shell.

Posted: Wed Dec 07, 2005 2:17 pmI have a pleco also - he has grown tremendously since I got him in July of this year. My turt gets curious once in a while and will go over to him, then swims away, the pleco just goes about his cleaning....
