Posted: Thu Nov 17, 2005 9:20 pmhow long does your uv bulbs last? my uvb just flickered and went out on me. i only had it for like 2 weeks.

Both my bulbs on both my tanks do that a couple times a day. I think they just overheat or something. Let it cool down and see if it comes back on.
Posted: Fri Nov 18, 2005 1:21 pmThe mercury vapor bulbs do need to be cooled down if they go off (even if you turn them off and then try to turn them on). The instructions that come with the T-Rex are specific about doing this.

Posted: Fri Nov 18, 2005 9:25 pmidea, dont use those, use the 77 cent 4 pack you get at wal-mart, i just went through my 1st one after 5 days, but its because the lamp fell off and almost caused a fire on my bed.

Then I read the instruction booklet that came with the next one I bought...
