Do Turtles Like Dense Planting?
Posted: Wed Jan 04, 2006 2:28 amI have my RES's in an indoor pond and am considering artificial plants, primarily floating ones. Do they prefer lots of plants, so they can hide, or do they like open water more?

Posted: Wed Jan 04, 2006 10:12 amI have 2 large plastic plants with suction cups stuck on the sides of my tank. Both my res like to rest and sleep on them. They're made for lizard tanks but they hold up quite well in the water.
Posted: Wed Jan 04, 2006 7:51 pmWill the basking area be one they can hide under? If so, I'd probably go with less than if it wasn't. My RES tends to like ones that are long and move in the water with the current.
