Once they learn, they become pretty addicted to their basking :)

I'm having the same problem! My little guys are about a month to maybe 2 months old. And I've seen them attempt to but every time they see something move they are back in the water. Is there a way for them to not be scared of everything? Poor dudes..

It may take young turtles a while before they will stay up there when someone enters the room. My turtles are about 4 years old and only one will stay on the basking area when I enter the room. They are just skittish by nature.
