I was going to build it off to one side of the tank but ran into some issues because of my cat. I decided to make it as large as the tank. Got a piece of hickory 1"x6"x6'. Sanded it with 150 fine sandpaper and stained it with minwax cherry stain. Next is to clearcoat it and go buy the 1/4" acrylic.

Looks good. What do you plan to use as a liner on the bottom?

Got all the plexi and put it together today. Basking area is 17"x14". Ramp is 6"W x 12"L. Bent the ramp with a small propane torch.

Link to the waterproof tape Im going to put on the ramp. Can't decide on green or black? I do think I will go with 2"
This tape would cost $34 Shipped. And I dont need 60' of it Im going to a pool store to see if they have it or can get it cheaper.

Installed and tank full of water. I might notch the wood to go over the filter hoses just for sake of easy cleaning? Left the cork dock in until I get the waterproof non slip tape for the ramp. Any input? Not really sure what to put on the basking area?

Great pics, everything looks pretty nice. Let us know how that tape works out. I wonder if they sell strips of reptile carpeting.

I dont know? Pool place had nothing. I did buy a moss mat for the basking area. I thought about using green scotch brite scouring pads on the ramp but they would be wet all the time? Could silicone them in place. I have tank safe silicone.

SO COOL.

This makes me want to upgrade my ATBA but I don't have all the cool tools you have, or the snow.

How did you attach the cork to the ramp?
