HI we are going to remove the old silicone today from the leaking tank that was given to us. My question is what can I use to safely clean the glass to make it clean for the silicone to adhere to the glass. Thanks! :msgreen:

Rubbing alcohol. Make sure you leave the silicone between the glass planes alone.

I would wait all of that and make for sure it's dry. I know its not a tank, but when we built our shower my wife was impatient and showered in less than 72hrs. We ended up redoing the shower silicone and that wasn't even fully submerged constantly like a tank is.

It worked so far :) We waited 72 hours and its been holding water for 2 days with no leaks. It only took one tube. He also made me a basking area. So now we just need a heater & filter. I can't wait to move her in.
