Made the plunge and bought two RESs and a Zoomed 100 watt Ceramic Emitter and its about 12 inches from the rock we have setup for basking but its barely raising the temp. Any suggestions?

What type of fixture do you have it in?

I tried one briefly and used a domed light with it. It worked well, though I don't remember how close I had it.

I had it with a cfl UVB and ultimately moved to an incandescent to get richer light.

You can always move it closer.

No. One of the selling points of the ceramic bulbs is that they don't shatter like glass ones if they get splattered with water.
