Are ceramic rings re-usable?

I have a SunSun HW-series filter. I just changed, cleaned & replaced all the media for the first time. I was wondering if the ceramic rings & bio-balls can be re-used or is there some cleansing element that is no longer viable? My vet told me that I could use the charcoal more than once when I had my old Fluval filter, I thought maybe it would the same for the new media. What is your expert advice? Thanks.

Charcoal/carbon needs replacement after about a month. It will still colonize bacteria, but you should replace it. Ceramic rings and bio balls can be reused... most just rinse it when cleaning the filters. If you're moving this from an active filter to a new filter, then even better since you will have a jump start on cycling.

What Steve said. Charcoal adsorbs impurities and isn't reusable.
Biomedia like ceramic rings is. But, make sure you are rinsing in aquarium water not tap water. The tap water contains chemicals to kill bacteria, and the whole point of biomedia is to grow bacteria.
