Hello, i have a basking area in my turtle tank but i don't have a ramp. I read somewhere that the basking area should be 100% out of water. My turtle doesn't climb up when no extra water is added, she tries to climb be fails every time. I have to add some water so she could climb and bask. I am planning to build a ramp to help her climb up and can you please suggest any material that is strong enough. Can you Please send me a pic of any idea of a ramp?

Can you post of picture of your ramp? It maybe too steep and/or slippery. What is it made out of?
See the link in my signature. I just use eggcrate diffusor from the lighting section of the store. It is strong and easy to work with, the holes in it give the turtle a lot of grip.

I've seen some people use the floating turtle docks as a ramp. Since they attach to the side of the tank with suction cups you could attach them at an angle if you don't have a way to attach it directly to the basking platform.
