So i have a worn out pillow and id like to use the wool thing inside as a mechanical filter.
i know they arent the same thing as filter wool, but what are the specifications of filter wool?
and can i use pillow stuff in the place of filter wool?

I think it needs to be 100% polyester with no additives whatsoever. I don't know if people use old ones though. Also, this fill stuff gets clogged quickly, so you might want to stick with sponges.
