Greetings everyone. After getting permission from the forum member (Roazbear) I am happy to share the ATBA we designed and built for his tank. This ATBA had unique requirements because half of Roazbear's tank is covered by a shelf which provided an interesting challenge. This obstruction required that 3 of the 4 sides of the dock be shorter than the front facing piece and the ramp had to be at a specific slope so it could meet the clearances. After numerous email, text and skype video we were able to create a design that would work and provided his turtle with nearly double to water volume to enjoy. The complete project took 6 days from deposit payment to being shipped out and the price was ~$250 including shipping.
I'm happy to answer any questions so feel free to PM or respond to this thread.
Thanks for your time!

Every basking platform I spent money on was a waste of good dollars. My turtle is 8" and none of them could accommodate her. Ryan built a great platform. I have a very tight amount of space to fit a platform. With Skype and a lot of back and forth Ryan built the perfect dock for my use. He is easy to work with and most importantly does what he says he is going to do. I live half way across the country from Ryan and had the platform set up in less that a week . I have doubled the tank space for my slider, Abigail.

Looks just like the atba I built for myself. The only difference is I used oak on the back and sides. Is that nonslip bathtub tape on the ramo. Thats what I used for traction. Looks great!

Ah I miss read the comment. What I use is a plastic mesh that can be found at places like jo-ann fabrics or similar craft stores. I drill holes into the ramp and secure the mesh with zip ties.
