Canadian version of glasscages.com?

Hi everyone,

I've searched the forum and although I've seen a few topics about above tank basking platforms and even some reviews of glasscages, I'm just wondering if anyone has suggestions of a similar company in Canada?

I don't have the time or ability to build my own and after getting a quote from glass cages, the shopping costs are a bit ridiculous (but understandably so, I guess). Does anyone know of any stores/companies in Canada, or Toronto specifically, that also sell these types of products? I'm not looking for a tank, but the acrylic topper that sits right on top.

Thanks!

Not sure if there is anyone as big up there, but if you supply the dimensions, you can probably find someone local to do it. As far as I know, there's nothing unique about what glasscages produces.

Thank you for the reply.

I've contacted some businesses up here, so I'll see what they say. I was more so asking if anyone knew of any that already had a reputation.

Any kind of style you're looking for in particular? The nice thing about these above areas is that they do not need to be water tight, so it really opens up your options.

That's true, and I've seen just how creative some people have been. Ideally, I believe I'd be looking for something like this:
http://www.glasscages.com/?sAction=ViewCat&lCatID=76

Which sits right on top with the exact same dimensions as my tank (48x18). This would allow me to simply move my caged top on top of the addition and to rest the lamps on there, rather than having to find other ways to hold the lamps above the area.

I've also seen one person in these forums that got one with dimensions that were slightly different, leaving a space at the back (so 48x12 for example), for the wires from the filter/water heater.

Thank you again for the replies.

What's nice about that is it uses the standard rims, so it's an exact fit. How many gallons is your tank?
