Once I get the money I wanna invest in a 110 gallon stock tank for my turtles . But I don't wanna go the canister filter way . (Accept for my magnum 350) I wanna build a sump using the drain plug on the tank . I wanna run pvc on the inside to make an overflow , it would be like having a drilled tank but not lol and using a 20 or 30 gallon tote and a 3 drawer storage drawer system for the trickle tower part . Using a 500gph powerhead for the return . Maybe more if I can find a bigger powerhead and then my magnum 350 would be on it too . Any thoughts ?

I like it! Keep in mind that not all stock tanks have drains, but they can be added. You will probably need a more stronger filter. Drains are also on or near the bottom, so if you want substrate, that might be an issue.
Also before you start, double check your ideas/specs on a forum like monsterfishkeepers.com

what I'll do is attach a pvc pipe to the drain plug from the inside and run it up as an overflow . I won't have to worry about air or it not restarting the siphon if it breaks cause itll automatically flow down the pipe and into the tower then on the outside of the tank I'll run pvc straight to the trickle tower (3 drawer storage filter Floss pot scrubbies and maybe lava rock or something it's still in the brainstorm phase) and then I'll have my 500 gph powerhead as the return . My only question is what size pipe would I need to make sure I'm not draining my sump completely ? And on top of the trickle tower I'll have my magnum 350 on it too . And probably some duck weed or anacharis to help with nitrates and stuff prolly sone ghost shrimp or some snails that parts undecided . It's gunna take me a few months to get it actually completed but it's happening

just wanted thoughts . OH and substrate will be sand

Well I can probably look up how many gallons go through what size pvc that's easy . Just thought I'd ask . But everything else seems like a no brainer

They don't like me too much over there cause someone had a problem wwith one of their res she'll turning Grey and someone told them not to worry and the turtle ended up dying . So I told them if they had any more problems to hop on here and someone got salty with me being a smart allec and was like oh I'm sorry I see that you have a wall of degrees and your a master and I see your only 19 wow you must have so much experience . And I was never trying to tell someone the didn't know what they were doing was just telling them they were apparently WRONG cause the turtle (which they said was fine) died a about a week ago . So I'm staying away from that site to avoid conflict ..

That escalated quickly. Sorry to hear you had a bad experience, I'm sure it was just a misunderstanding.

but honestly I don't see any major flaws with my design

I think it'll turn out really good . I'll post a build thread pic heavy lol . I wonder if I'm the first to think about this design 0.o

Hint hint............Upon your update, Upside down photos don't do justice lolol (((((((((((runs and hides))))))))))))). Your drawing remark that IS SUPPOSED TO BE ON TOP OF THE PHOTO lolol, Is truly wrong as well. Your drawing skills is great compared to your uploading photo skills lolol. You know I am just joking girly, kick my butt later. I am sorry that I could not text you back yesterday as I was in a mandatory 8 hour continued educational course that property managers have to do yearly to keep their licenses. I need to catch up on my work reports from yesterday but I will text you back later today.
