yesterday i got a platic rubbermaid 50 gallon tub from walmart and when i get home from college tomorrow i'm gonna set both my turts up in the tub. However, i was wondering if this is true....people said that the suction cups for my heater, dock, etc wont stick to that type of plastic?!
I was also wondering about the XP3, i bought it today for the 50 gallon since it is for tanks up to 175 gallons (just a little over 3x). Will it create too much of a suction current? Is this filter THAT GOOD that i wont have to upgrade the filter when i upgrade my tank? Does it work well enough on 100+ gallon tanks too?

I use my xp3 in 75 gallons and it still works wonders. I wouldn't know about 100 plus, but what you could do is use it and then get a smaller one later and use two. A lot of people use two filters. So, when you discover that it doesn't keep up (if that happens) just get a lesser model to help out. Worry about it then. I don't know about the suction cups. There's one way to find out though. Fill it up and try it. Unless someone else on here knows and responds...

i got my xp3 for 150, but my dad paid for it cuz he just helped my sister pay rent on an apartment so i guess he felt like he owed me something too. I love him soo much! lol Yea i guess buying a lesser model would be better, i cant wait to not have to change my water. and when i have to...he also bought me a python!
