I was told on another site that galvanized stock tanks will leach toxic levels of zinc into the water. I know some people on here use them so I thought I would ask if that is true. I would think that they would be safe since so many people use them for their livestock and don't have problems.

I don't use one, but only a handful here do and I haven't heard of it being an issue. You can always increase the frequency of water changes and have the water tested so you can manage the parameters.
