Having had guinea pigs I've noticed these in stores and was thinking that one would be a good ramp to some sort of homemade basking area.

That may be too slippery to climb and may need to be covered in a rubber mat for traction.

I think they'd be able to get a grip on the grooves. They seem to be able to grab onto things with their front legs.

If it was big enough to hold the turtle, I think that would be great. I'm going for a "modern" rather than "natural" look in my tank, so I'll definitely be watching for something like that.
