bubbles floating on water?

I have two new turtles. I have had them for about a week. They seem to be doing great. I have clorinated water so I was using a water conditioner that I had for fish. I was not sure that this was what I should be using so I went to the pet store and got repti safe water conditioner. I changed all the water and now there are a lot of bubbles on the top of the water. almost like soap, but I know better than to use soap on any thing so I know that that isn't what it is. Is this normal or something that I should worry about?

If I use too much conditioner, things get bubblier. It usually dissipates within a few minutes. Did you add it into the tank or to the water before you put it into the tank? Was the filter cleaned/changed?

I was wondering if that is what it could be ( to much conditioner) I added it to the tank after I filled it. I just bought the filter a few days ago so I don't think that is what it would be. I was wondering if maybe it was a combination of to much conditioner and maybe the water level. It seems like the level is a bit lower than before.

Since the filter is new, did you rinse the media before you put it in the filter?

Yep I ran it under water. Everything was fine untill I changed water conditioner. does anyone else use reptisafe in their water? I added more water yesterday. It hasn't disipated and there were more this morning. I would say it is more like a foam than bubbles? I scoop them out with a big fish net. I doesn't seem to bother my turtles but one was trying to eat them.

I used to use Reptisafe when I lived where there was chlorinated water, and I think it's a really good product. Perhaps there's too much in the water, as was suggested.

I've never used that product, but have heard good things about it as well.

It looks like all is good now. I was wondering though? At first only one of my turtles was basking, now both of them are but one lays on top of the other one? Is he just trying to get closer to the light, and will the other one get enough if he is laying on him? They seem to be getting used to their new surroundings. I love it. I am so happy :)

He's trying to get closer to the warmth. :)
