Is the Fluval FX6 too strong for guppies? Last time I had minnows and guppies in Sam's tank, the guppies continued to reproduce. I'd like to have that combination in there, again, but last time I was using a Marineland canister that wasn't as strong. This one does a great job of sucking up anything in a wide radius, so I just want to make sure that doesn't include tiny fish.

All you have to do is crank it down some. Use the outlet valve NOT the inlet one. That's until any baby feeders grow up. I / me would give up a few feeders for a healthy tank. The way they reproduce you won't miss one here and there. They will be turtle food one day anyway! Fish even babies are pretty smart they will feel the pressure and move away.

Thanks! I'd rather have a healthy tank, too. I'll try to have enough places for them to hide.
