Are you outside the US ? How about some natural cork , I love that ! Get a large enough piece and cut to size or glue several together to make a larger one. I get it in bulk from Pangea.

I was looking for a basking dock to replace the custom dock I built. It really all depends on the size of your turtle.
Kordon or Oasis turtle docks are kind of ugly, but they are cheap and hold a large turtle.
I vote for custom, but I know we don't all have access to custom material. If not, maybe the two I mentioned are available in your area
