They don't know how to properly stock a tank. Just yesterday I saw a tank they made, with a tiny space up there for a tortoise, not nearly enough substrate. And two adult RES, with only a floating deck that's not even stick to the side of the tank. With a ton of koi. I know they replace fish when they get too big but gee, maybe stop stocking inappropriately your tank first? If your fish can't spend its entire life in the tank, then you shouldn't put it there. That's a big no go for me.

Oh, good link. I agree with your points. I never expect these shows to do a completely proper job. Once saw a turtle tank added in one of those surprise home renovation shows and it was terrible. I'd take the tank though

Yea but the tank is outside , where the turtles have access to sunlight , so no need to really have the basking area attached , as far as the tort , yes thats way too small a space for that big a tortise , now for the fish , that tank is huge , personally i dont think its over stocked , as long as the filters can keep up with the load , and him knowing turtles , more than likely didnt keep all those fish in there , cause as he said he didnt know he was even getting the fish , but theres alot of episodes where they did amazing jobs honestly !

I didn't realize that tank is outdoors and that can create other problems. I agree, they do amazing jobs on the tank and stands. I wouldn't mind them making me one

Nope, nope. These are YOUNG koi fish. 2 to 3 koi yes, but that many? And basic logic; you don't keep cold water loving animals with sliders. They only do good job for building the thing, but with actual fish and stockings? Awful. I've watched 4 to 5 episodes and every single time they did terribly poor choices with the fish. They don't care about the animals, they just want a cool, shock effect for the show.
Case in point; they once put axolotl in a tropical tank with countless fish for a few hours for the "big reveal" scene. Because who cares they are super fragile and stress easily amiright?

Tanked should stick to only building things and work with actual fish lovers, or if not, hopefully one day shut down. >_>
