Does anyone else have problems with rapidly evaporating water? I fill my tank and look the next day and almost an inch is gone! I looked around and there's no leaks, so it must be evaporating. It's crazy!

Yes, this is very common. I fill up mine every couple of days with several gallons. Sometimes it seems worse than other times... not sure why, maybe the weather? You're not alone. :)

So weird...I was thinking that exact same thing tonight too! I hope someone on this site has the answer, could it be the filter?

The water filter splashing, a wide surface area, the water heater and room temperature contribute to water evaporation.

Humidity will also affect evaporation. Dry air (especially in the winter) will also cause the water to evporate more quickly...

another reason for the rapid evaporation is because of your UVB and UVA lights. this is basically direct sunlight. that will dry up water like crazy, its no biggie though, just add more water.. i usually add a gallon or two every few days or so

Yup, all the time! It's normal since the water is heated.
