Anything you put in there is a potential meal for your turts. My turts made a NASTY messy meal of a crayfish once and it was bigger than they were.

Crayfish have claws, sometimes very large ones, but the larger the claws are the less powerful grip they tend to have, and regardless they are practically defenseless against something as stout and sturdy (and generally stubborn) as a hungry turtle. They may live as friends for awhile but would eventually become a meal. Besides which, a fight between them could injure your turtle as well and you never want to cause an injury when it's preventable. Seperate cages is what I would advise.

Well I suppose technically you could devise some sort of screen or something to provide a nice looking tank and a home for both creatures but remember you will need alot of room for each so a large tank would be needed. Separate tanks would probably be best if you wanted to keep both as pets. But I am no expert and you may find others disagree with my opinion so I guess if nothing else keep them supervised.

I have a 4 inch lobster in my tank and my turts are much bigger...they all are a happy family
It is a risk you will have to take though.
