400 W Metal Halide
Posted: Sun Nov 12, 2006 1:19 amI have a 400 W Metal Halide bulb I was using for a greenhouse and I heard it could be used for turtle basking spots to provide heat, light, UVA and UVB. Is it true?

And the double ended ones pull alot of power and have a risk of explosion. Plus they have some pretty nasty chemicals and heavy metals inside them.....not worth the risk IMO.....
