sure, some other plants you could look at are:

Anachris
Amazon Sward
Duckweed

there is a special sand you can use for the bottom of your tank if you so do please... What do you have for a filter?

1) do you have a petsmart or a pet store near by? Some/most will have a live plant section, i find that anachris is the most popular

2) on the contrary, the sand if ingested is very easly passed, it's all natural undyed. Check out TheBeasts thread about it...

3) That filter is a very nice filter, i just picked it up a few weeks ago. If you have a PetSmart near by, you can do the online price match and get it for $104. I'd suggest picking up a set of Biomax rings and possibly ceramic stars as well.

Yeah check out TheBeasts thread. The sand looks awesome. I saw it at Petsmart but I couldn't figure out how you'd drain and fill the tank without sucking all the sand out.

However, if you see the pics in the thread we're talking about, you will long for the sand. Here's the link

I guess the sand is heaver then normal? I'm not sure i called the co and asked them if it'd get sucked into a python, and they said they were unsure, i'd love for beast to review this product.
