Turtle tank setups and other indoor configurations.

Hi ! I'm a new turtle owner for about 3 weeks now. I have two of them that are about 1 and 1/2 inches long. I have them in a 10 gallon tank. What kind of things can I expect from them? They always seem so shy and skiddish. Is it ok to take them outside in the tank and put their basking area in the sun? Then bring them back in the house? I probably sound silly for asking all these questions but any info you can give me I would really appreciate. Thank you

You can take them outside when the weather is nice enough but I am not sure if it would be good inside their tank, someone correct me if I am wrong please. I put my turtle in a kiddie pool with some rocks to bask on. Just make sure that they also have a shaded area to get out the sun.

Be careful with a 10 gal tank in the sun. The water could heat up fairly quickly and too much heat is also not good for the turtles. Like Stacey said, a kiddie pool would be better - more gallons of water to absorb the heat of the day without overdoing it.
