Is it possible to get snails from Anachris?
I had some in Tardy's new tank for about a week after I got it set up (approx. 3 1/2 weeks ago)
I was getting ready to clean it when I was shocked to find a snail in her tank (about 1/4 inch long) when I looked around I found a few more smaller ones.
How is this possible?
Will it be harmful to Tardy?
I've heard of other people putting snails in their tank.
should I leave them in there or should I get them out as soon as possible?
Any help would be apprieciated.
thanks

I am not sure how they got in the plants, but I suggest to take the snails out. When I had a snail in my fish tank it multiplied like crazy. I am talking like a 100 snails, in a matter of a month.

Some people will feed snails to their turts, but I wouldn't leave them in the tank. The choice is up to you in the end, just giving you my experience.

i think you'll be just fine. my turtle eats all the little ones and my apple snail survives. my RES has eaten my huge apple snail's tentacles and whatnot. they grow back. if you have ever had the chance to observe a big snail and really see it well, you would be amazed. for quite some time, the snail was the star of my tank.
if you want to get rid of them, just feed 'em to your turt

I had a 10 gallon tank that started out with 5 or 6 snails that I picked off of the anacharis I bought. Within a month, I had over 100 (i stopped counting after that so there was probably more like 150). They werent very big, about the size of the O on your keyboard and one day I just threw them in the turtle tank. They ate them all in about an hour and I've done 100% cleaning since and there are none left. My turts are such pigs that I never have to worry about over population with snails or fish.
