Possibly a great idea, or a death sentance.

OK, So I recently went to a friends house and he had an above ground pool which was rather small, for people. Id say maybe 3000 gallons. It is called a doughboy pool I think. Well my idea is to buy one of those and put my turtles in it. It comes with a filter and I would use that and just put normal water in it just as I do now with my fish tank. I would like to hear some of your thoughts on this. My concerns would be tempeature. Ive read that the water need to be kept around 75 degrees. And outside in Las Vegas, thats probably not going to happen.

Just a thought of mine that could be genius or completely retarded, you be the judge, lol.
Thank you.

If you could set up the pool so that it was in partial shade through out the day it would help to keep it a little cooler, but I'd keep a thermometer in there just to be sure. Will that pool liner material hold up to a turtle's claws?

it will hold, i have had one and they are verry thick. the only bad thing is that you have to have level ground or you wont get any water in it.
