My half indoor half outdoor setup

Posted: Wed Mar 26, 2008 11:27 pmWhile it's fine (and even beneficial) for turtles to get natural sunlight when the weather permits, it's VERY dangerous to leave a tank in the sun. The water heats up quickly and the fluctuations in temperature can cause a RES to become ill and/or die.
You'd also have an algae bloom like you can't believe.
It's best to keep a tank indoors in a more controlled environment and set up a temporary outdoor set up for the summer for your RES to enjoy under your supervision.
