Some more updates... We are going shopping for a pond liner tomorrow. The hole is a lot bigger than I thought we would dig, but I have read that you should try to make a pond as big as reasonably possible. It is about 12 feet long, 8 feet at the widest section, and 3 feet deep. You can see we are trying to keep the filter running with the turtles in their rubbermaid contianer that we moved up against the fence for now. One thing for sure, the arrowhead plant is amazing. About 4-5 months ago, that plant was nothing but a root ball. Now look at it!

Your other turtle looks like a Yellow Belly Slider. I can't wait to see this when it's all done. Keep posting pictures...

OK! Turtles are in the pond and look happy! Both the fish and turtles seem way more happy in their new home with much more room to swim around for them.

Although it was more complicated to keep the filter running while building, I'm glad we did it. The water has not gone through any "green" cycle. Nice and clear... makes it nice to watch the goldfish school around.

It is coming along nicely. We decided to make a small block wall to contain them if they venture beyond the edge of the pond. all we need to do now is just finishing touches with landscape plants and finish hiding the liner here and there.

Horsepower is how fast you hit a wall. Torque is how far you move a wall

Everything I own is on my back, and suffice it is to say I am one ton lighter and therefore 2,000 pounds happier. All houses are gone.
