Tadpoles

Can tadpoles be kept in my outdoor pond? The turtles won't be fast enough to catch them right? There are plenty of plants and rocks for them to hide in. I read that they feed on the leftover food and algae so I'm thinking of getting them for the pond. Is this a good idea?

they can eat them and sometimes can be used as feeders but too many can make your turlte sick...

Well the big ones aren't going to be fast enough to catch them right? There are lots of plants around plus rocks with cracks and stuff. Why wouldn't it be good if they ate too many? My main purpose as I said earlier is so that I can establish not only a free food source but also a algae, leftover food eating colony.
