Habitat - Outdoor :: My small piece of turtle real estate

Ponds and other outdoor enclosures.

I've got two turtles, and I decided it would be cool to share some pictures. I'm looking forward to some future upgrades. I will be installing a small water course pretty soon. My turtles seem to really enjoy their habitat, I always see them swimming and basking in the sun.

This is my 125 Gallon pond.

Yeah :P I've never been good at giving my pets names on the spot. It took me quite a while to decide names for the turtles. Somehow these just stuck.

It looks really nice. Does it get any shade at all during the day? 125 gallons can get pretty warm in the sun...

O yeah, most definitely... Our backyard is sandwiched between my apartment and another building, plus the surrounding trees. Because of this, the turtles get like 4-6 hours of direct sunlight during the day. This is when I see them most active and I like to take pictures. The water stays at pretty good temp because the sun doesn't shine on it all day.

I am so jealous too! I want something like that! But an indoor pond would be sweet! If only I could afford my own house!

I have the same preformed pond and for the first month I had a filter similar to yours, but soon you'll need a new filter.

At the bottom of the first post I have filter pictures.
