Yesterday my neighbor gave me a baby softshell that he found while out fishing. Im no expert on softshells so i dont really want to keep it. I have a pond in my back yard and i was wondering if i put him in there, will he bite peoples toes when they are swimming? Theres already a very big softshell in there. We dont know how, we just noticed one day. I dont want to be swimming and get my toe bit off when the turtle grows up.

I would probably bring him back to the where he caught it. They can bite if they feel threatened, and I imagine it would be a painful one.
