Do RES like to eat "land plants"?

Hello everyone, this is my first question on this site, so thanks.

I am building a garden in the enclosed planter shown below with a pond and waterfall in the large corner area.

On the final product, the short wall will be well above the level of the planter.
My desire is to have 2-4 RES that can use the pond at will but have the entire garden area to roam and play turtle tag. The pond will be 1/4 circle with a radius of about 7 feet.
My questions are these:
Will my RES eat garden plants (flowers and small palm/banana leaf plants)?
are there any that would be harmful to the animals?

I'd check the feeding list/poisonous list to find out what's safe to plant. Since RES are mainly aquatic turtles, they really won't forage on land.

I also think that this is really a great project. I love gardening and I also would love to have a pond and a waterfall in my garden. I would want to plant many flowers there and due to this order many different plants and flowers online. Maybe you can share some more pics of your project. Have you already finished it? Really would like to see pictures of your finished pond and waterfall.

Like stever said check the list of poisonous plants. They may not go for it on land but if a leaf or anything from it somehow lands in the water it can become fair game.
