I have a rescued turtle for a week now and she hardly comes out of the water to bask.

Is it ok to lift your turtle onto the basking area.

First make sure she can climb onto it. I usually say put them on the incline and see if they can get up with little effort. I also suggest putting them on the platform so they know this is a place they can bask. Some turtles are just skittish and won't bask while others are around or if their is a lot of movement.
