Pond size and population

Al seems kind of bored and lonely outside sometimes- he doesn't get as much human interaction as he did when he lived indoors. I am not sure, though, if the pond is really big enough to add another turtle. It's a 150-gallon stock tank, filled to about 135 gallons of water.
If I were to add another turtle, it would be a male YBS. I get the feeling, though, that there's just not enough room in this tank for another turtle. What do you think?

I would say that it's going to be about 50 gallons short of where you are. At 90 gallons per turtle, that's 180 gallons. It's your choice of course. I personally have two turt, a male and a female, and I am figuring on 220 gallons when it's all said and done. Of course, if I had know everything that I know now, when I got my turts, I would have only gotten one. Won't give up one for the world now. I'm attached!

well dont forget all turtles don't grow to be 9", so it may be right between the two of them, just my two cents

Yeah, if I get two males I doubt they would grow much larger than Al is now- he's about 7 inches. But I don't want them to have only the minimum amount of space, I want them to have more, so I will wait.
I do wonder if Al could live with a water dog.
