well i have my turtles outside now but they are in city so its nothing to worry about..
but since summer is here and their baby pool is outside city i am thinking to move them there..
the place is on the mountain 600m height and got a fence..
i can watch them daily and feed them but i am afraid of other animals..
are any of these animals real threat ? snakes , hawks , chickens ..

Yes they are if you have any in your area. Opossums, squirrels, racoons and rats can also do damage.

Racoons are especially dangerous because they are so smart. They will get into anything that they really have a mind to get into. Hawks too. It's hard to protect your turtle from a hawk.

we dont have racoons
if i put a big umbrella on top of the pool to cover it all as long as i leave them there?
i got a caravan nearby if it helps..
and about rats and snakes.. the babe pool will be on ciment place and its 40cm high.. its still easy to get in for them huh?

An umbrella is a good idea to protect from hawks - but then it will shade all the good sunshine that the turtle needs too. Could you take the umbrella down sometimes while you're there to protect your turtle?

I don't know anything about snakes and rats.

i will have the umbrella only when i leave.. for a couple of hours and when i sleep at night..
cats threaten turtles? cause the nearby home has 5-6 cats

If your turtles are big I don't think cats can do much. (I don't any sensible cats would go after turtles after watching that youtube video...

Anyway, cats don't like water, so I think your turtles are pretty safe from
cats

I don't snakes would go after turtles, either, since they have hard shells that would be difficult for a snake to swallow.

Chickens?!

chickens are to next houses.. its pretty hard for the to jump iside (the fence is 2m) but its a slight possibility..

it looks like if i get good safety measures and prepere the place enough it would be ok...

hm.. since i got enough space and rocks i will create a cave for them to hide inside if they want to and bask on the top..

Im not too sure, but I don't think chicken would care about the turtles. Chickens don't eat turtles. I don't think a chicken would want to go near a pool.

I'm thinking of put them outside for the summer too...we dont get hawks..nor racoons..since i technically live in a desertic area lol..there are a few cats in my neighboorhood but my dogs keep them away.The only threat i can think of are my dogs, especially the oldest one..When i put my turtle outside,he always wants to bite her..

Vets say they get a lot of turtles that have been chewed by dogs. Actually, I think a dog would be about the biggest threat of all, especially if the turtle was small.

After watching a nature show on turtles and seeing a swarm of terrapins attack and rip apart a fairly large bird, I think the chickens should be afraid of the turtles. They should be very afraid!
