Have had a hard time getting Clyde to eat veggies but have started adding Elodea (Anacharis) just recently. It disappears quickly. I get small individual clumps from Pet Store and he devours them within a 24 hour period. How often can I feed this to my Red Ear slider? Is it OK to leave aquatic plants in permanently? It gets expensive to purchase the small clumps from the store so how can I grow Elodea myself?
Watch the turtle. He only moves forward by sticking his neck out.

I don't treat aquatic plants any differently than regular veggies. If the turt is simply eating too much of it quickly, then you will have to regulate it. It the poop is more messy than usual, then I'd cut back on the quantity as well.
