Okay so I've been trying to find what greens these little guys eat.. apparently carrots occassionally will eat... but most of the times she just shreds it up.. and they fight over it too but they wont swallow the shreds. .____.; sometimes I think they're pretty dumb( I still love them but they're dumb)

Anyways.... Is there anyway I can get greens into her? I haven't tried the jello shots yet because it seems messy.

What about this?

http://www.petsmart.com/reptile/food/na ... d=36-21547

I read the ingredients and it contains carrots... They should sell turtle food with a higher fiber intake sheesh.

I know this might sound dumb-- but can this be considered good for its diet? http://www.petco.com/product/116579/Ome ... ounds.aspx

Read the ingredients.

P.S. I've been reading the ingredients in a lot of food and throughout some brands foods for like goldfish, and other types of fish... They pretty much contain the same thing just different amounts of vitamins and stuff... Same with turtle foods..

P.s. Here's the maintenance formula.. http://zoomed.com/db/products/EntryDeta ... ntryID=226

There was a small thread about National Geographic food earlier... I think the conclusion was that it's not a good choice. Omega One is a good brand and while this is not their turtle food (one of the best out there) you can probably use is it a little. That depends on why though, if it's just for veggie content then it's probably not worth it.

I have not tried it, but I think there a few users who like this (their turtles anyway) http://www.sfbb.com/Aquatic-Turtle-Diet ... ula_71.php

That would be if I can find that. D: I guess I'll be having to make my own foods then....

Zoo Med Maintenance pellets have a lot of plant matter, and only 25% protein. Those combined with Hikari algae wafers are helpful vegetable components of the diet. Don't give up on the real greens, though--thres nothing that will permanently substitute for them.

I read it somewhere a while ago, regarding the spirulina and some of the other compounds. I may be remembering incorrectly--either way, though, if your turtles don't like greens, I would say that Zoo Med is the most reliable low-protein pellet.

Right now I was given the a free pack of growth formula... So I am feeding her that with the reptomins.
