Am I feeding her right.

I have a female with 7 inch carapice. I alternate days between zoo med pellets (I know now there are better ones) in an amount the size of her head, and a few red lettuce leaves and one small dried shrimp on day 2. If anything, I think it is too much but she goes crazy begging every time I am in the room like she is starving. She is alot more active in her 180 gallon tank than she was in her temporary home. Too much or not enough food?

I have a pic somewhere of how much lettuce i use. A little more is probably OK. You can do pellets everyday, but maybe do about 1/3 head size. My RES know they get fed in the morning (lettuce) and evening (pellets). In between I do not interact with them when in the same room (unless I'm cleaning poop, adding water, taking them outside, etc). They know begging during this time will get them nothing, so they stay perched on their basking platforms. They do watch me, but I (usually) don't give in.
