I just bought some whole pitted dates and whenever I grab them my turtle starts to flutter because she wants some, is it ok to give her one? They're made with no artificial flavors or preservatives, just some natural dates from California.

Fruit is not a natural food wild RES's would normally encounter and its use should be limited to Rare use and in very small portions. They are generally high in sugar. Once a month as a treat or less could be offered.

You say (SHE) how long you had he/she and do you know for sure ? How big , any name ? Think it's she that has you trained on the begging for any food?
