no Steve I'm not trying stock up just trying to stay ahead of the game I have an FX 5 and it's an awesome filter and I wouldn't mind having another one if the idiots on ebay would stop outbidding each other. they sell new for what $330 yet people on ebay or paying that for an FX 5 not on FX 6. as Forrest Gump one said stupid is as stupid does

I'm not a fan of Fluval but I do like the FX5 when it's $200. Yea, eBay can be crazy for in-demand stuff. Lots of time they don't read the description and just get into a bidding war.

If you bid so high that your paying retail prices why bid at all.

Well, bid high as much as you're willing to so you don't have to watch the auction. Though i would probably snipe on something like this.

Yeah the bidding wars can be interesting. I'm like you why bid for something at retail price, seems like a waste. I don't use eBay probably chase of bidding wars.
