I just got a 125 gallon tank for my two RES and don't have a heater for it. What is the best and most affordable heater for a tank of this size? The room the tank is in will usually be around 65-70 degrees since it's in the basement. Thanks.

Do you plan to fill the tank all the way up? How old are the turtles? I would probably look into a 250-300 watt Jager TruTemp heater. Fortunately prices between good and cheap heaters are similar.

They are three years old and I think I might get another hatchling for the tank. It is filled up to the top

That's fine. You could probably keep the water temps from the low to mid 70's.

I want to put fish in the tank too, would low to mid 70s be sufficient?

I don't think that would be a problem, though I think they need to acclimate to the temp change first.

Turns out the Jager heater won't be available for 10 days, is the Aqueon Pro Heater good?

I've heard the Aqueon pros are pretty good. You may also want to check http://www.drsfostersmith.com/
