Just curious if anyone is using the exo terra fx 350. If so is there anyway you could post a picture. I have just purchased one and am having trouble installing it and putting together based on the terrible pictures in the manual.

Noooo, a turtle filter

I've never heard of this filter, and from the pics it looks like it hangs on the tank. Are you just having assembly problems?

Typically anything marketed as a "turtle filter" is mostly rubbish. For a turtle tank a full size external canister is recommended, something advertised at least three times the volume of water you have in the tank.
I have a similar filter to this one that I use on a 7 gallon fish tank. Here are some picture of the assembly:

@Devil Duck: Additionally typically anything marketed by "Exo Terra" is mostly rubbish as well.

@Veipa: LOL. I have a pair of long metal tongs made by Exo Terra that work great.

Diffuser looks like it goes onto the end of the outlet pipe. You probably have a couple of different setup options, thus extra parts.

I can tell you first hand the Exo Terra MVB are terrible. Tongs eh? LOL, so I guess anything non-complicated by exo terra is OK.

That filter wouldn't handle a 10gallon tank let alone what you may have. Why not share your setup with us?
Also if you are still in the setup stage and haven't used it yet I would HIGHLY advise packing it back up and returning it.

I already bought the filter and have been running it for a few days..
So far it seems to be much faster than my other filter, even though they're both 40 gallons.
But since today my filter has been releasing these translucent plastic bag looking things. I have a little net filtering out the plastic looking things, but and I'm worried they might be harmful to my turtle.
Can anyone please tell me what they could be??

That's not normal. What kind of media do you have in there?
