Hi,

I ordered an Eheim Jager submersible 300 watt heater for our new tank, and I think they sent me the thermocontrol model instead.

The heater they sent doesn't seem as robust as the model in the photo- it doesn't have the extra reinforced cord, and it doesn't say Jager on it.

I know companies sometimes change the names of a model, or discontinue one and replace it with a new one.

Please let me know if this is the right one, or if I should ask for a refund or replacement or should just use it.

It looks right to me, I'm not sure when they used the reinforced cord. I have an older one that has it, the more recent ones I bought don't -- though that was a few years ago.

If you purchased from a reputable place, then I wouldn't worry about it.

Ok, so then I should just use it? No difference? Ok. Just wanted to make sure. I've had people send me totally wrong items in the past.

Where did you buy it from? Heaters don't carry a huge premium that mark them for counterfeiting.
