The tanks look great Chris!!

I never realized you had an axolotl! Can you post a pic of him with a description of your set up for me?? I've always wanted one, but never had the chance to talk to an owner before.

i started at 9:30pm and it is now 2:28am. cant sleep. heres pics of my tank. i used home depot play sand. i wish i would have rinsed it more...i figure i will put my filter on in the early morning like 7am.

I actually found it at Wal-Mart, also. My daughter was digging behind things and saw it pushed to the back. I think someone was hiding it!

That will clear up in no time. Looks good. BTW what are your light attached to? They look like they are free floating :?:

That's the poor man's lay away right there! Does your turtle still fit inside it?? I can't tell how big the opening is.

Yes, yes it is!

She can't fit through it at all. I think it made her mad because she had to stalk the ghost shrimp from afar once they realized she couldn't get in.

I would say the openings are 2-3" or so? Izzy is a little over 4.

does anybody have a big problem with there turtle kicking up the sand and it going everywhere?

whenever cujo kicks up the sand it settles right back down to the bottom.

Same here. My filter doesn't allow the sand to settle right below the output though. There's just a hole there.
