Last night my tank exploded and we almost lost one of the turtles. Thank goodness that we didnt and we were able to reconstruct the new tank. I will post pics soon.

We put in about 40lbs of sand and I guess the tank was just faulty and the bottom cracked. Probably just a fluke thing.

So after the tank busted I went out and bought a new tank. We re-designed the tank and this is the final product. Well it is close to the final product. We still need to clean up the tank a little bit and add some stuff to please the eye such as bubblers and plants. So let me know what everyone thinks and if anyone has any ideas to make improvements.

That tank looks awesome!!!!! I plan on doing the basic same thing except with tile for the basking platform and a turtle ramp for a ramp.

That looks great!! What size is it??

The only thing I'd worry about is having the carpet in the water like that. It'll probably mold really quickly.

The tank is 50g and I should be able to clean the carpet once in a while. If not I will just cut out and repair.

Its a really old bike. I used to race when I was 13-17 years old. It is a Mongoose solution (frame and handlebars), Nuke proof hubs, RX17's (rims, I think..cant really remember), and Shimano clip pedals. I dont know why I keep it, guess my son can ride it in a few years even if it is out of date, lol.
