What do you guys use to keep the reptile cartpet on the eggcrate?

i read that some of you used Velcro but wouldn't the stickiness lift off when it's in water??

Velcro works in water, but I would suggest Aquarium silicone.

I used velcro, but it never touches the water.

hey guys...for those of you who used eggcrates and created a ramp out of it..

how do you guys secure it so that the angle stays? I tried using zip ties to tie two eggcrates but the angled one that i'm using as a ramp keeps on flipping back up :(

hmm well i used suction cups to keep my ramp in place. depending on the weight of your turtle & if you put a suction cup(s) beneath the water level, the suction cups may sometimes come off once in a while. that's when i just fix & readjust the ramp.

hope this helped..

It's really pretty, and your turtle should really enjoy it, when it gets used to seeing it a lot. They never wanna use the new basking spot right away, unless they are used to having their tank changed around like crazy. I don't recommend that, though.

It can't be wet like that. I'm sure Gremlin and Spotsmama have told you tons of times about drying off. Now, here's what can be done: You can lower the water just half an inch is all. Then, get either a disinfected piece of cork bark, an egg crate, or anything flat and water proof. You can glue things, like little pebbles, on it to make it easier to climb up. You can tie or glue suction cups to it, so it will sit on the water at a angle, so the turtle can climb up.

I hope that makes sense and helps out ;D
