Sadie has a piece of drift wood that she likes to toss around the tank and rub her shell on. We found her an empty clam shell at the beach, soaked it in a 1 part bleach, 2 parts water mixture and we keep it closed in her tank on purpose. She uses her nails to pull it open, it's really awesome.

No I'm the slow one...not posting pics sooner. Sorry busy day today with the new baby and I had a trip to the dentist.

Here's Moe's old tank / ATBA. He moved into his new home today.

TV in my hand for size reference. Yes I need to clean the screen off.

TV mounted on Moe's old ATBA...

So in Moe's new home, I was considering going COMPLETELY overboard. Someone on this Forum in another thread started referring to ATBA as "above tank basking APARTMENT". This made me laugh at first... then the crazy wheels in my head started spinning.

Moe already has a TV. His ATBA platform is a piece of tile. I could get some doll furniture and get him a fireplace to hang the TV above and maybe a couch or two. Then I thought about the walls. I could get some plain looking wall paper for around the ATBA, and stain + poly some popsicle sticks to make faux wainscoting for the bottom 1/3rd of the wall. Then I thought it would be funny to take the same popsicle sticks and make like a picture frame. Moe could have pictures of the rest of his family around his "apartment" a picture of his mom, Derek and I, a picture of the two bostons, a picture of the cat. etc.

Too far? or should I do this? I mean anyone could get an aquarium background of plants and rocks + a few plastic plants to decorate a basking area. What other turtle would have a miniature fireplace and pool table?

I completely agree with the idea. I want to do something similar as well. I love my turtles, and I love buying stuff for them.

I think it's a great idea!
We have a lounge chair for Bowser in her tank.
She sometimes sits on top of it, but I can never get a photo (when she sees me she begs for food).
She has pooped on it a few times, though. LOL
Maybe she needs a toilet!

a TV thats awesome! Any favorite shows?

I have two corks from wine bottles that were previously enjoyed by me and on the river rock theme I took 2 or 2.5 inch PVC pipe and cut it up into half inch to inch wide rings. They sink but they can be easily moved. Her simply swimming can move them.

How good they are as toys not sure shes only been in the tank for like 12 hours :)

I'll confess... I did burn some of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles episodes onto a DVD for him.

That being said, moe has written a letter to santa asking for a pair of nunchucks for Christmas.

So Bowser was getting stuck in her cave quite frequently, so we made the decision to remove the cave last night.
She looked so sad after that! Like really, she was swimming down to where the cave used to be and would just stare at the blank space. :(
Anyway, we ended up making a trip to Petco and gave her an early Christmas present...
New decor!

Mayan pyramid, Greek columns, and Greek ruins.
She absolutely loves them all!

Oh, and here's her stocking:

It's currently filled with ReptoTreat Suprema and cuttlebone.
Petco was out of the Red River Shrimp, so we'll have to get that another day.

Nice setup. I'm picturing your tank with white aquarium sand, then it would really look like ancient ruins. :)

I pictured that...and then pictured Bowser eating mouthfuls of the sand.
She will eat ANYTHING.

Moe ate sand for the first 10-15 minutes. He then quickly figured out there wasn't anything tasty about it and has since stopped.
